On Saturday August 13th join us for the Dormanstown Community Gala 2011 which kicks off at 11am with a parade led by the Mayor and our Gala Prince in a horse drawn carriage followed by local dancers, mascots and a jazz band!
The rest of the day will see a fantastic array of events, stands and activities, such as:
- Rides
- Archery
- Climbing wall
- Bungee flyers
- Mini quads
- Stalls
- Re-enactment society
- Steam organ
- Puppet show
- Emergency services
In addition the main arena will feature the jazz band, dancers, a dog show, birds of prey and more, while kids can get their faces painted for free; there’s also a fancy dress competition at 11.45 am.
With free entrance and liquid refreshment, sandwiches and ices available from 11am to 4.30pm, this looks set to be a great day out for all!
